United Arts facilitates arts and cultural education programming that reaches students (pre-K to 12th grade) in public schools within the Central Florida Region. Field trips, hands-on activities and performances provide educational and creative experiences in the arts, sciences and history that enhance learning, develop and expand literacy and enrich our region’s greatest treasure: our young people.
The arts improve the quality of our lives, bolster tourism and help to attract and retain high-level talent for start-up and established local businesses.
In the summer of 2017, Americans for the Arts published Arts & Economic Prosperity V. This study measures the economic impact of spending by nonprofit arts and culture organizations and their event-related audiences. In the Central Florida region, results show that the nonprofit arts and culture industry is a significant economic driver supporting nearly $400 million in economic activity and 13,764 jobs.
