Cultural Tourism (CT) Funding Eligible: Cultural nonprofit 501(c)(3) organizations, for events in Orange County that enhance the Orlando area’s cultural identity, present quality arts and cultural experiences, and promote tourism.

• The  Orange County Board of County Commissioners met on Tues, Oct 26, 2021, 9:00 a.m. and approved the FY 22 Cultural Tourism funding for 32 grantees.

FY23 Cultural Tourism cycle open now.

Apply for funding for events that occur within Jan 1-Dec 31, 2023, with marketing and related project expenses after Nov 1, 2022.

• Application deadline: Thurs., July 7, 2022, by 5 p.m. EST

• Workshops – attendance is required for first-time applicants, and for those returning after a year or more away from the program, but all are welcome to attend.

• Additional workshops may be scheduled on request.

Eligible: nonprofits or governments for acquisition, construction, renovation or equipping of cultural facilities in Orange County.

Blockbuster Fund
To encourage marquee-type blockbuster events–result in regional, statewide and national attendance. Eligible: individual or organization.  Program moratorium in effect 10/1/20.

NOTICE: Unfortunately there will be no Blockbuster funds this year.  It may be a couple years before the Tourist Development Tax revenue is back to a level that we can allocate money for the Blockbuster Fund.

*Meeting locations: Until further notice, all Council and Committee meetings will be held in-person. Each location must be secured individually – please check back as locations are To Be Announced. Beginning Dec 8, 2020, all meetings of the Advisory Council and its committees will be held in-person, without a virtual option. It is state mandated that we conduct Council meetings in-person, and must achieve a quorum or cannot conduct business. The technology needs could not be accommodated to maintain both in-person and virtual for the County’s 57 boards and countless related subcommittees.

  • TDT ARC Funding — REMINDER: only Capital Grants of $2M+ projects have been considered to date.

    –  The cycle for facilities grant applications closed Nov 14, 2018.
