Orange County Grants 

Apply for funding from Orange County Arts & Cultural Affairs, through United Arts of Central Florida:

The mission of the Orange County Arts and Cultural Affairs Advisory Council is: To elevate Central Florida’s arts and culture to that befitting a diverse, world-class community.

Funding is provided by Orange County Tourist Development Tax (TDT) revenues, and is subject to Florida statute requirements, linked here. Exceptions noted.

Orange County Venue Subsidy for Arts and Culture

Eligible: cultural organizations that are renting space at a venue in Orange County for an exhibition or performance. Venue rentals must occur within Friday, October 1, 2022, through Friday, September 30, 2023.   • Guidelines

Cultural Tourism (CT) Funding

 

 

Eligible: Cultural nonprofit 501(c)(3) organizations, for events in Orange County that enhance the Orlando area’s cultural identity, present quality arts and cultural experiences, and promote tourism.

NOTICE: Cultural Facilities Funding has been allocated again for 2023; Council has voted to allow four pending FY20 applicants to update their prior proposals, and will not reopen the process this round.

Blockbuster Fund

To encourage marquee-type blockbuster events — result in regional, statewide and national attendance; include significant collaborations among the local arts and culture community. Eligible applicants may be nonprofit or for-profit corporations, individuals, partnerships, or municipalities.

Appointments must be made with Terry Olson, for initial discussions. When an applicant has developed a solid business plan, has defined milestones for investment, and has a refined proposal ready, they will be considered on a case-by-case basis by the Blockbuster Committee.

There is limited free public parking at the Administration Building; and an hourly parking garage is located right across the street at 300 Liberty Ave. Orlando, FL 32801

*Meeting locations: Until further notice, all Council and Committee meetings will be held in-person. Each location must be secured individually – please check back as locations are To Be Announced. Beginning Dec 8, 2020, all meetings of the Advisory Council and its committees will be held in-person, without a virtual option. It is state mandated that we conduct Council meetings in-person, and must achieve a quorum or cannot conduct business. The technology needs could not be accommodated to maintain both in-person and virtual for the County’s 57 boards and countless related subcommittees.
