ArtReach Orlando (ARO) provides art programs for youth experiencing difficult economic and social situations who may not have access to the arts. Through the creative process, ARO explores the link between art, social justice, and the healing process. By fostering creativity, ARO encourages and empowers young people to imagine the positive changes they wish to see in their own lives, their communities, and the world.
Central Florida Ballet aims to entertain, educate, and inspire through the universal art form of dance. With a diverse repertoire of dance productions and programs, their focus is on cultural enrichment to both local and global audiences through performing arts. At the local level, Central Florida Ballet hosts a Ballet Academy offering classical ballet, jazz, modern, tap, contemporary and body conditioning training for dancers aged 5 years and above. Assuming a key role in the career advancement of universal artistic talent, Central Florida Ballet also hosts its annual World Ballet Competition and Gala Performance – now in its fourteenth year of production.
Central Florida Vocal Arts and Opera del Sol are dedicated to re-imagining the future of vocal arts and opera. We are dedicated to providing the highest quality training to young artists, while also providing performing opportunities to emerging and professional artists of all ages, using the arts to create tangible social good in our community.
Florida Symphony Youth Orchestra
Florida Symphony Youth Orchestras is an organization that has served Central Florida for over sixty-two years and exists to encourage children and young adults, through the practice and performance of orchestral music, to become passionate leaders, thinkers, and contributors in their local community and beyond.
Global Peace Film Festival
The Global Peace Film Festival uses the power of creative media to further the cause of peace on earth. GPFF envisions “peace” not as the absence of conflict but as a framework for channeling, processing, and resolving conflict through respectful and non-violent means. People of good faith have real differences that deserve to be discussed, debated and contested. GPFF works to connect expression – artistic, political, social and personal – to positive, respectful vehicles for engagement. The festival program is carefully curated to create a place for open dialogue, using the films as a catalyst for change.
The Holocaust Memorial Resource and Education Center
The mission of the Holocaust Memorial Resource & Education Center of Florida of FL is to use the history and lessons of the Holocaust to build a just and caring community free of antisemitism and all forms of prejudice and bigotry. Most importantly, the Holocaust Center is focused on the future. Through our extensive outreach of educational and cultural programs and exhibits, we use the lessons of the Holocaust as a tool to teach the principles of good citizenship and to inspire thousands of diverse visitors each year to do their part in creating a better world. All our exhibitions showcase significant events in history and how they are relevant to us today. Our permanent collections tell important stories and our traveling exhibitions are brought in from world-class institutions to provide thought-provoking experiences.
MicheLee Puppets empowers lives through the art of puppetry. Since 1985, they have produced more than 75 original plays and videos and have reached more than 2.2 million of Florida’s children, youth, and families promoting respect, responsibility, and positive life choices. As Florida’s only educational puppetry arts organization and nationally awarded by Puppeteers of America, MicheLee Puppets produces world-class puppetry art to foster positive social change locally, regionally, and nationally.
Celebrating, expanding, and sharing the world’s greatest art form, Opera Orlando produces high-quality operatic entertainment and educational programs that engage Central Florida audiences. Opera sings to every heart, connecting us to our history, to our humanity, and to our community. It is Opera Orlando’s privilege and responsibility to carry on opera’s legacy by sharing emotionally compelling and unique stories. Opera Orlando strives to introduce audiences new and old to the beauty and splendor of the culmination of all art forms.
The Orlando Gay Chorus is one of the largest LGBTQ+ choruses in the country. Founded on Valentine’s Day 1990, OGC has been a fixture in the Central Florida area for 30 years and counting. In addition to the full chorus, OGC has four small ensembles that perform at annual concerts and cabarets, as well as at community and private events. OGC is comprised of individuals from all walks of life and all ages, members from the LGBTQ+ community as well as straight Allies. OGC warmly welcomes all who would like to join them in their goal of changing hearts and minds in Central Florida and throughout the world.
Snap! Orlando is a leading contemporary visual arts organization in Central Florida with two galleries and over 100 exhibited international photographers and multimedia artists. Celebrating its 10th anniversary in 2020, Snap! has captured the interest and respect of photographers, contemporary artists, digital creators, art enthusiasts, and critics around the world.
Timucua Arts Foundation is a multi-faceted arts and education institution, presenting concerts and festivals, operating a unique and intimate venue, and delivering education and wellness programming to people of all ages. Timucua’s distinctive integration of the performing and visual arts has carved a niche for high-level, accessibly-priced programming in an intimate venue. Our core belief that The Arts Belong to Everyone is embodied in an expansive performance schedule unique in Central Florida, encompassing internationally-acclaimed jazz artists, indigenous and folkloric music and dance, contemporary classical music, avant-garde improvisation, film, site-specific theater, and more, all while visual artists work live on stage.
Winter Garden Heritage Foundation
The mission of the Winter Garden Heritage Foundation is to preserve the heritage and architecture of West Orange County while creating new cultural experiences. Since 1994, the Winter Garden Heritage Foundation has been an integral part of the preservation and revitalization of historic downtown Winter Garden, fostering an understanding of the social, cultural, economic, and environmental transformations that have shaped the area.
