Garden Theatre, Inc. - Diverse Leadership Pipeline

To address board vacancies and succession at our region’s nonprofit arts and cultural organizations, United Arts created the Diverse Leadership Pipeline to help the entire arts and cultural sector recruit new members.
This program will help connect individuals who may be a good match based on their interests and skill sets, with local arts and cultural nonprofit organizations. It’s designed to help ensure the leadership of Central Florida’s arts and cultural community reflects its diverse population. Without diverse people included in the decision-making process of our boards, we will not reach our vision that all people of Central Florida have access to the arts.
1. Review the cultural organizations’ profiles below, and then 2. Complete the application at the bottom of this page or on the organization’s profile page!

If your nonprofit arts and/or cultural organization would like to be included, please reach out to Sean Thurman, Marketing & Communications Director at United Arts: Sean@UnitedArts.cc.

Mission

Being on the board for the Garden is an invigorating experience.  Our board is a diverse representation of backgrounds, organizations, experience and individuals.  The passion driven talents of our combined with the resources available through our board members help to provide a strong leadership foundation for the Garden Theatre.

While the theater is rich in history and significance, our organization is still young in our own history.  The opportunities we have to share the current and future success of this dynamic organization are vast.  We are a governance board, comprised of committees and advisory subject matter experts.  We accomplish our work through this structure and look for active participation from our board members.  Our mission is to “Inspire a discovery through entertainment experiences that are impactful, innovative, and inclusive”  and we have been successful in doing so since opening our doors in February 2008.

Today we are a recognized entity in the Central Florida Arts and Culture community and beyond.  We have received accolades for our partnerships with other community organizations and arts partners.  We enjoy a talented and dedicated Staff and our relationships with the City of Winter Garden are strong.

I invite you to find a place in the organization where you can lend your passion and help to be a supporting part of the exciting legacy we are building for this organization.  Thank you in advance for your time, passion, dedication as you consider offering your talent as a member of our board.
