About

We are looking for leaders, advocates and ambassadors with skills in finance, fundraising, legal/law, human resources, sales and marketing, public speaking, strategic planning, education, humanities, event planning, media relations, entrepreneurship, construction/development and management.

Annual Board dues are $750.
Crealdé accepts nominations, interviews and elects new board members throughout the year.
Executive Board terms limits are 2 years, renewable once.
The Crealdé Board meets in person 10 times per year, usually the final Wednesday of the month, except for the last meeting of the year which is held in early December. Attendance is required at a minimum of eight meetings and also is required at the Annual MembershipMeeting, which includes the election of new officers.
Other than the Executive Committee, there is a Fundraising Committee and Finance Committee, which is made up of both board and staff members.

Mission

Crealdé School of Art’s mission is to stimulate the creative process inherent in each individual through hands-on visual arts education including comprehensive studio instruction and interaction with professional working artists, the presentation of inspiring exhibitions, and community outreach engaging underserved populations; and to foster an appreciation for pluralism, cultural diversity, and the preservation of cultural heritage through the arts and humanities, serving Central Florida and its visitors.

Central Florida residents interested in serving on the board of directors of a local arts and culture non-profit: United Arts of Central Florida, your local arts agency, has introduced the Diverse Leadership Pipeline with information about Board leadership in nonprofit arts and cultural organizations and an opportunity for you to self-nominate on one common form that allows you to designate the organizations where you wish to be considered for Board service. United Arts will forward this information to the organizations that you designate interest in so that they are aware of your interest and can consider your application for Board Leadership. Please make sure to read the organization’s profiles so that you are clear on their unique Board service expectations for your time, talent, and treasures.
