At United Arts, we are active in Arts Advocacy and Awareness through the following outlets:
- Advocacy Alerts – United Arts serves as Central Florida’s primary advocate for arts and culture. In concert with the Florida Cultural Alliance, Americans for the Arts, and other local, state and federal government partners, we will forward all pertinent funding and support-related alerts for legislative contacts. These arts advocacy efforts enlist the community’s help to preserve our cultural resources and spread the word that “the arts matter.” Arts and culture enrich the quality of life for Central Florida area residents, visitors, and students alike. - Government Affairs – United Arts will maintain and expand its ties with local, state and federal government partners and programs. These relationships provide support that is critical to United Arts and the sustenance of its 50+ funded cultural providers.
- Awareness – In addition to advocacy, events throughout the year bring visibility to the importance of arts and culture, the myriad opportunities available at little or no cost, of the powerful economic impacts of the arts, and for the sheer enjoyment to the Central Florida community.
